Preparing your community for climate change

I wish the Northfield Planning Commission, City Council, and key City staff members had attended the June 6th conference, “Preparing Your Community for Climate and Energy Change: Opportunities for Local Sustainability.”

The keynote speakers were excellent, and the workshop I was involved in as a presenter was well attended by an engaged audience. The issues addressed should be of paramount concern during the update and revision of Northfield’s Comprehensive Plan and Land Development Regulations.

Workshop organizers hope to have presentations online soon. In the interim, my presentation is available here.

    I believe that the most compelling map you have is that of potential sites in Northfield for the production of wind energy!
